Dr. Jock grew up in Newnan, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he attended the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with a distinction in dental research and graduating in the top of his class. While in dental school, he received several prestigious honors, including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Phi Kappa Phi national honor societies, OKU Professionalism award, and Dorothy “Dolly” Hearn Award, which was voted on by his classmates for demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and perseverance.
Recognizing his love for working with children, he completed a pediatric dentistry residency at Children's Hospital Colorado, one of the nation's top children's hospitals. There he received advanced training in working with children with special healthcare needs, laser dentistry and release of tongue ties, orofacial trauma, growth and development, advanced behavioral management, disease prevention, and innovative restorative practices.
Dr. Jock lives in Athens with his wife, Kirkley, and four children. In his free time, he enjoys being outside with his family, running, biking, hiking, skiing, and grilling on his Big Green Egg. He is excited to be back in Athens and is looking forward to growing with his patients.
